Expanding SMS Services in Ghana
MTN Ghana is teaming up with Mobile Companies to provide XLBrowser to its customers. MTN subscribers will have access to services ranging from news, sports, music, email access, chat as well as user-generated content.
XLBrowser is a mobile software application that utilises SMS to provide instant access to local and global information using a mobile phone.
The head of innovations and business development, MTN Ghana, says, “MTN Ghana has been highly recommended for bringing constant innovation to the Ghanaian telecommunications industry, we are pleased to be the first network within MTN to launch this unique XLBrowser service platform.”
An example of one of these Mobile Solutions Providers is txtNation who has a heavy presence in Ghana and strong links to the Network providers.
